St. Louis Cardinals: Failures again

Let's start off by saying that I'm a huge Cards fan but right now I have a hard time showing it.  The team is comprised of a ton of young and talented players with the occasional veteran mixed in.  They have three of the best pitchers in the starting rotation, including a former Cy Young winner, and a potential Rookie of the Year.  They've got a 3-time MVP in Albert Pujols, along with a former Batting Title Champ in Matt Holiday.  Sounds pretty good, right?  Then what the hell are they doing 6 games back?!  6 games back?!  And behind the Reds of all teams.  The REDS!  The Reds have barely cracked .500 for the better part of the decade.  I get that practically everyone is having a break-out year but outside of Cincinnati, the occasional fan probably couldn't name a handful of players, and these scrubs are combining to be the best offensive team.  Now, I'll give the Reds their due in the fact that they win the games they should and are playing well against playoff contender teams.  But, as for the Cardinals, get a grip.  Losing series to the likes of the Cubs, Nationals, and Pirates?  What a joke.  La Russa needs to get these guys in line.  Make them focus on every game and not just the games with contending teams.  Come on Cardinals, you guys are making me hang my head in front of Reds' fans, and that's something no baseball fan should ever have to do.
